My Healing Approach

My approach in person is relationally and emotionally grounded in care, safety, and healing — but without forcing spiritual or therapeutic framing onto people who haven't asked for that )) This section is for those who are curious about the philosophical and personal foundations of my healing approach. Nothing here is required reading — it’s simply an open window into how I think, relate, and care ))

◊💎 A Completely Oriignal and One-Of-A-Kind Healing Approach

I pride myself on my originality in my healing approach. The format of what I do as a healer is self-made and completely original, though it is inspired by a background of study of many different types of healing arts. I’ve done countless trainings in the healing arts, and studied independently, but I don’t use any of the formats I was taught. Instead, I study the strategies of these techniques, breaking them down to explore how their philosophies (or what works about them) could apply within other contexts — then put that all together in another way to create something original.

I feel that offering something one-of-a-kind has way more value than just taking a training and replicating what a teacher has taught you as a set format. When that’s done, you’re lower quality than your teacher, offering something watered down through tiers and tiers of delivery. That’s because you are adhering to the training instead of responding to the needs of each situation uniquely. Theoretically, as your trainings get more advanced, you develop more tools for responsiveness and adaptability to each scenario through that. But by creating an original format yourself, you are always responsive and adapting immediately in each moment by your own agency, which is much more empowered to succeed.

◊🌈 Philosophy, Opinion and Experience (Honoring Our Uniqueness)

The pursuit of philosophy is very popular, even for people who don’t call it that and don’t approach it academically. Everyone has a philosophy. I took the subject in university, which taught me that getting an overview of many different philosophies tends to engender respect for other people’s contrasting views. Serious philosophers are not focused on convincing other people of their beliefs, but growing in how to effectively define and communicate their findings. They seek the compatibility between their take on how the universe works, and that of others, because they are conditioned to see overlap and interconnection between many different kinds of breakdowns. That’s how I approach the use of philosophy for healing in intimate connection. We’re on the search for how our perception of the world overlaps and supports each other to expand.

◊💐 Using Philosophy For Healing

Throughout various healing modalities, weather traditional, old or modern, philosophy is often used to break down why or how exactly it seems to be that certain actions or applications cause healing. Sometimes that philosophy rests in science, but when science is considered important it often involves a synergy between science and philosophy. I’m finding that’s the approach that’s most applicable to reaching and connecting with people in a way that truly resonates and makes an impact.

By collecting a series of philosophies that can apply well to intimacy and using these in my way of desinging my approach, I’ve found I can be an inspiration and a healing force in brief moments of connection with people, without being invasive or intruding with my beliefs. I’m using these healing approaches and philosophical ideas not only in conversation but in how I strategize and inspire. It’s about placing value on the most harmonious things and supporting inspiration with strategies to get well.

◊🔑 Passing on Spirituality and/or Religion in Favor of Philosophy

Personally I’ve always been a very spiritual person, but at a certain young age I decided not to participate in any religion. I’ve continued to be interested in studying religion (theology and theosophy) to this day, but I’ve found spiritual philosophy doesn’t have to hinge on religious opinion or belief. Also, I’ve found spirituality to be less universally digestible and compatible — some people just don’t relate to spirituality at all, and I can appreciate their reasons. That’s why I don’t push spirituality on anyone, even though it can be separate from the controversies of religious opinion.

◊💕 Authenticity — The Foundation of Intimacy & Joy

It seems that people feel most often that to express oneself authentically to others — rather than shelling up and hiding your true feelings — requires making yourself vulnerable to getting hurt. That’s a very natural assumption, but I’ve found it’s the opposite. This is counter-intuitive and can be difficult to learn — but through meditation and personal healing reflection, I’ve realized that it’s authenticity which leads to healing, joy and overall success in intimacy. I don’t think it’s vulnerability, though — and understanding that key difference is the method of success. It’s possible to be authentic without making yourself vulnerable to hurt, and it’s this artform which supports the courage to be authentic.

The vulnerability that comes from authentic self-expression is, in my opinion, illusory-based. An idea comes into your mind that the person may react negatively to something you have expressed, but through sensitive analysis, it’s possible not to allow that to trigger you or get in the way of your flow of expression. You might realize that their negative reaction is not as valuable to take to heart as something more meaningful which they might realize about your authentic feelings. You might instead patiently hold out for a positive response in them, which you know could arrive from a more meaningful event. This causes a meaningful build --and deeper bonding — when you have been patient with them in their triggers and created a positive vibe.

◊❤️‍🔥 My Own Practice of Authentic Self-Expresson In Intimacy

For example, many people ask me if my joy, happiness and comfort during our time was faked in order to create a commercially polished and catering atmosphere. My response is always the same : I never fake pleasure or happiness, as if that would bring contentment to the other person. I’ve learned early in life that people can sense the inauthenticity of a faked smille. The empathy and sensitivity of an intimate companion is much deeper than the surface appearances — they feel energy and can sense when emotion is from your inner core. I want the other person to feel content, but I trust that their joy should come from those kinds of authentic depths. I’m patient with the discomfort of others in those still moments before a stronger feeling has arrived for me, knowing that it will make the experience much more powerful if I wait until it’s honest before I express those kinds of feelings. This works every time.

◊🔥 A Belief In Miracles

I’m someone who has actually witnessed incredible miracles throughout my life. One of my fascinations has involved studying stories of miraculous healings — lifelong ailments, for example, when there was no hope of recovery, resolved in a day. I’ve seen these stories throughout my various trainings in many different healing modalities, as portraits of how surprisingly effective the modality can be. After studying all these stories and breaking down healing philosophies from all these techniques in order to create my own original approach, I’ve hoped for similar successes. My wish for miracles taking place within my home, in intimate healings with friends, has been hugely fulfilled. So many of these amazing events have been worth shedding tears of joy, and they certainly changed lives forever.

So many people have experienced miraculous healings in my home — sometimes enormous scale, sometimes small and yet still forever memorable with lasting and increasing impact. My expectations are never high, since of course what I offer has its value even without grandiose achievements (or promises) — but that has made it even more fulfilling to see these miracles unfold before my eyes. As a surprise, it means so much more. Maybe sometimes too, just not having expectations allows for a more powerful result too, as the person is less distracted from connection.

◊🪞 Healing Myself and Healing Others As One

As a healer, it's always been my belief that I should be simultaneously having a healing experience whenever I give healing to others. Ultimately, we are all our own best healer. Self-healing is the most powerful kind. That said, we all need to exchange with others in order to connect and enrich each other along the way )) I find that everyone has a natural healing skill, weather they are aware of that or not. By seeking to personally heal myself while giving this kind of gift to another, this naturally causes others to become healers. The way that others succeed in healing me in our time together tends to make them feel empowered, confident in themselves, and more alive. I've had so many miraculous breakthroughs and life-changing experiences in my times with my friends. This has made all the difference.

◊🧬 I Do Not Facilitate Psychedelic Medicine During Our Time Together

Due to my mentioning often of my background with traditional psychedelic plant medicine, and by using it as a metaphor for my ideas, some people have asked if I facilitate mushroom ceremonies or any kind of medicine within my intimate healing work. The answer is no. I know that, unlike some medicines like Ayahuasca, it is not against any plant medicine healing traditions to incorporate this type of thing into recreational use of pislocybin or some other plant medicines. But because of my traditional background with plant medicines, I have a personal feeling not to ever want to do that, even in non-ceremonial and totally recreational settings. That’s just my own feeling. Also I have major sensitivities against illegal substanes being shared and used in my home, due to legal complications.

◊🪩 Continued Reflections On My Inspirations And Philosophies

I look forward to continuing this section about my healing approach soon. When I have a chance, I’ll be doing a liittle more writing here about how I’ve been inspired. I plan to explore : Ecology and psychedelic plant medicine as a metaphor for interconnection, personal growh and intimacy )) A series of philosophies that I find most useful to intimate healing such as essentialism, holism and aloha. And more will probably come to me as I write.
