It's very exciting to be introducing you to this brand new website. I've been using this website building platform for my art website for my intermedia artwork — UNITY LIFE Mystery School — for over 6 months now, and found it so empowering and easy to use that I had to shift this website into the same model. This is the new version of an old website that's been around since 2021 under the name U N I T Y. It's become apparent to me that it's time to reveal more about myself — my real legal name, my art website, things like that — time to really open up and express more of myself. I know the UNITY LIFE website is a bit cryptic and hard to follow, but it's just so close to my heart that I couldn't resist showing you.
I couldn't be happier with the way that this website matches the visual style of the other one, making them twin websites )) ◊💖💖 And I'm so in love with the way I did the navigation bar to make it read a poetic sentence by going across it. To me that's symbolic of holism. Holism is a philosophy that proposes that by viewing things as one and interconnected, we have a more harmonious and healing existence — because it's true, the universe is really one — and so this is aligning us with the power of life as it truly is.
The image above is my original photography. It was my first blog post created on my old website, back in 2021. It was created as a joke, to model after some cute anonymous instagram accts of pretty girls who weren't showing their faces and always had adorable lifestyle photos (seemingly like a casual ad) of items around their homes. I felt these accts were not real people, and they were just robots or something. The same pictures were showing up on many different accts. In response to that, I decided to create the "real person" version of these stereotypically sweet images. I did a whole series of these. I think my versions are much better than the fake pictures. I mean that they are visually better looking, of course — but also, it's comforting isn't it, to know that it's really the person in the pictures you see, who has created this online space? The same is true of any type of art — the most important thing really is who the person is who created it, what their intentions were and how this forms a connection with you.
